Daily Life – renewal and regeneration

regeneration – “In biology, the process of renewal, restoration, and growth that makes organisms and ecosystems resilient to natural fluctuations that cause disturbance.”

On this rainy afternoon we transplanted this bush to its perfect home just waiting for it in our Buddha garden. It was but a bare stalk stuck into the ground a few years ago in our nursery garden in the woods, on the chance it might survive and grow. We rediscovered it today and marveled at its transformation into this thriving bush and knew it was time to transplant it to a new home. While a hardy species, it had withstood the challenges of winter cold and summer drought with no particular care from us, but it had exactly the care it needed from Nature to regenerate and thrive.

Restore… renew… regenerate… We keep hearing on the news that the world will be a different place when we emerge from our cocoon of home shelter to resume daily life in the greater society. Life is always changing and these weeks apart have given us the time and space to renew ourselves – our habits, goals, dreams, and ways of being alone and together in the world. Choose what sustains you and helps you thrive, offer what is kind and thoughtful to others, to help restore and regenerate a balance in the world.

Sending an abundance of light and love,
-Carla
