Flowers still abound as the calendar turns to September
I just could not help myself! As I wandered the myriad brick avenues between rows of shrubs and display gardens at a local nursery, I came face to face with this gigantic fountain of fuchsia petunias cascading in layers towards the ground. After standing a few moments in wonder at a virtual tree of petunias reaching 12 feet or more, I whipped out my phone and took some photos to remind myself that Nature is always full of surprises and abundance is there for the realizing.
Wandering through our home veggie garden searching for dinner, I was also amazed by the dying vines of cucumbers and melons still producing in wild abundance; their life force energy pouring their last bit of strength into their produce for our nourishment. Instead of pulling the plants, we picked the produce in gratitude and will wait to see what tomorrow brings.
Regardless of everything else happening in the world and in our individual lives, nature keeps unfolding her gifts. Even when her rhythms become turbulent, there is still beauty and solace in the abundance to be found in the smallest roadside flower or giant fountain of petunias!
May you find beauty and abundance in your life!
