Place your right palm on your heart and your left palm on top. Feel the beating rhythm of your heart – the steady thrum of life pulsing through you. Notice the rise and fall of your chest with your breath – life force energy flowing in to nourish you and flowing out to release what has already served you well.
As you breathe in, call to mind someone you love dearly; as you breathe out, send them love from your heart.
When you have sent them more love and are ready, breathe in and call to mind someone you know only in passing; breathe out and send them kindness from your heart to ease their life journey. Breathe in and out and feel that ease flow through you as well.
After a few more breaths, call to mind someone experiencing pain in their life. Breathe in infinite love from the universe; breathe out and send them the understanding and compassion that flows from the universe through you.
Sit with your breath, experiencing love, kindness, understanding and compassion until the distinctions between you and those in your mind dissolve, and they move into your heart with you.
Take another breath and chant OM, feeling its resonance in your heart.
May we all know peace of heart and mind, joined in a circle of loving awareness.

Moderate Plus Yoga – Exploring Balance
Join Carla to explore the interplay of movement and stillness, of focused and widespread physical awareness, and how to use them to establish balance through yoga. We will build standing balance pose series over the 4 weeks, using the principles of grounding, rising and expanding; as well as determine how breath, mudras, and affirmations affect our emotional and mental balance.
Gentle Yoga – Stress Relief Series
This week we slow down and breathe. Gather your props and prepare to relax. We start with a short guided relaxation and end with a Yoga Nidra. We’ll take some time for gentle maintenance yoga in the middle.
Create Bone Strength
This whole body fitness program utilizes balance exercises, weight bearing routines, and low impact movements to help maintain and stimulate bone health in a safe way. Come strengthen your whole body and improve balance! Chair and floor options will be given for all movements.

Week 2 – Upper and Whole Body Strength
Join Carla to learn the importance of strengthening opposing muscle groups of the body to balance the opening and releasing of tight places. Without strength-building, the effects of releasing tension patterns is short-lived and less effective.
