#2. New Class: Yoga for Bone Health*
Therapeutic bone building yoga!
Join us for the special, 6-week class with Mary Barton, yoga therapist in training
Dates: Six Tuesdays, January 7 – February 11, 2020
Build increased bone density through the therapeutic use of yoga! Therapeutic yoga for bone building uses the concepts of quantity (how much work load is placed on the muscles to activate bone growth) and quality (proper alignment for each student). Harness the power of breathing techniques to sustain yoga poses long enough to initiate bone growth.
Resource materials, including home yoga practices and current clinical information about bone building, will be given to each student. All poses are adaptable for each individuals needs; however, this class is not suitable for students with acute conditions or acute pain.

#3. Yoga Basics*
Learn just what you need to join a yoga class!
Special 4 week introduction to a yoga class with Jessica Atwell, RYT200
Dates: Four Saturdays, January 11 – February 1, 2020
Always wanted to try yoga but thought you weren’t flexible enough? Nervous to walk into an existing yoga class? Join Jessica to learn the skills you need to join a regular yoga class – basic yoga breathing, how to sit comfortably, general alignment in different types of yoga postures, and just what om and namaste mean… plus, all your questions answered. The hardest part of joining a yoga class is walking in the door the first time. Get comfortable with other newbies and prepare to join a gentle or moderate yoga class following this four-week special class.
